Mountain Healthcare is delighted to have been selected by NHS England, NHS Improvement, and the Police and Crime Commissioners for Cleveland, Durham and Northumbria as the specialist healthcare provider for the provision of a new Regional Sexual Assault Referral Service, for the North East of England.
Our service has been designed to help survivors of sexual assault across the North East, to gain equitable access to the holistic healthcare, forensic examinations, and wider support they need to achieve positive health outcomes.
This will include:
- Providing the highest standards of healthcare, forensic examination services and wider support by implementing industry best practice/guidance
- Effectively promoting the service across the region to increase the number of people who come forward for support
- Working closely with a broad network of community pathway providers, including ISVAs, NHS, Social Services, and other statutory and non-statutory services, to ensure no survivor is left without the ongoing care and support they need.
Our service will build on the specialist expertise and knowledge of the existing SARC teams. This will include continued training and development and ensuring they receive the highest levels of health and wellbeing support.
